Happy New Year!

We had a great New Years Eve & Day. I always enjoy the relaxing the New Year brings after a busy Christmas season. We had a great time on NY Eve with our friends at the Francis' party. For journaling purposes, there were Jensens, Coombs, Lallis, Francis' (obviously) and us. Amanda did a great job being a babysitter and she and her siblings stayed up until we got home at 1AM! (We were only one house away and checked on them often). We had a great dinner and had a great time playing the Wii and Rock Band. Mike and I rocked on boxing...beating our other able opponents! Another hightlight of the evening was Scott betting Darin to take off his shirt and run down the street (a block) and back..also without any shoes. He told him there was $100 riding on this...and so Darin did it! We laughed so hard! Mike missed this 'show' because he had run home to check on the kids and wish them happy new year! We love this group of friends and love the parties Nicole throws!
The next morning, the kids woke up too early! While Mike and I tried to rest a little more, they got all bundled up and went out 'sledding'. Now, our front yard has a very slight slope, but not enough to sled on, for sure. But, they made a track and would jump on their sled and slide all the way to the street! They played outside in the frigid temps (20 degrees), for a good hour to an hour and a half! They were so cute and had a great time together! We warmed them up with hot cocoa when they came in and the rest of the day was spent together, playing games and watching football and having their friends over. Happy New Year everyone!
