more football...

Love #70 with the pink socks!

 Chain gang.....

That's our cutie! Another picture of Amanda and Kes and below Brando!

More ear tubes for Brandon!

About the second week of school, we noticed Brandon wasn't hearing very well. Back to Dr Kelley we went and yep, time for tubes again...ugh.
So, we made a quick appointment for Primary Children's hospital.  Dr Kelley put in "teenager tubes" this time so they should last a little longer.  They are bigger and thus there is an opportunity for a hole to form that doesn't close up, but Brandon seems to need the help hearing, so we ok'd the tubes.  Above, he was still out of it.  Below: coming out of it better with his nice farmer's tan from summer fun!

Finally we got him up and dressed. He was still groggy, but this was his 4th set of tubes.  We are so grateful we live now where there is something that can be done for him!  He's done great ever since. Even went to football practice the next day.  What a trooper!

Amanda's birthday

 Happy Birthday Amanda!

Above is a recreated photo...I'll find the original....it's pretty close!

Mike & Amanda went down to President's circle at the U when Sportcenter's Game Day came to town!

Grandpa and Scott met them there.....
There is alway a BYU Sucks sign....no, we weren't playing BYU....

Kevin Jergensen.....also huge U fan! And his son, Johnny, slept overnight at President's Circle so he could be in the 'pit' area....
 Our 17 year old!
She went with me to pick up her Backer's Cake.  When the kids were little and we all went together, I would let them get a cookie.  They always pick the gingerbread girls or gingerbread boys...

 Nutella from the Jergs!

Amanda and Brooke Bennett - below...no words
Keslee post it noted the door and left treats...

A few more football pictures and Amanda's birthday

Sydney loves Amanda so much! Someday Amanda will appreciate that!
Pictures that Mike sent home from him golfing in St George!

She turned 17! WHAT?!  Her friend decorated her room....

A few pictures with Chezney on Amanda's birthday....I'm sure it's so they could post :)

Powder Puff Football Jr vs Sr

I guess there was a tradition at good ol' Davis High of girls playing in a Powder Puff football game. Juniors vs Seniors.  Then, it got too rough and they banned it for a few years.  One of the senior officers (a girl) worked with the administration and got it back this past year!  So, Amanda was super excited to play!  The football players coached the girls themselves. There were a few of the adult coaches to ref and make sure the game stayed under control.  The juniors were leading with about 2 seconds left, and some shenanigans happened and the seniors ended up winning the game (I'm sure the seniors always win).

It was fun to watch Amanda play the line. She played the entire game! She got through the seniors line so much that she was double and triple teamed most plays.  So fun to watch! Her good friend, Keslee, who is a very fast runner and soccer player, scored for the juniors at least once...but I want to think it was twice.  Can't remember 10 months later! :)

The fun thing is that it was open to all Junior and Senior girls!  You had cheerleaders, drill team, soccer, HOSA, all girls that were loving football that were interested in other things or doing other things during high school and they all came together as a team.  Super fun!

Taking the field. Amanda is number 6!

Lots of pictures, I know. Just documenting the plays. We have watched enough football that looking at each of these pictures that seem like they are the same thing...are really very interesting to at least me!

 Below is Keslee number 62!

I love this pic below because due to some awesome blocking, Kes makes it past a tackle (that girl was scary!) and the boys on the sideline can't believe it and are loving it!

Random picture of Sydney in the middle of this football stuff, but I love it!

After the game, Amanda and Kes!

 Amanda and Brinlee Memmott!
 Junior strong!

 Amanda and her coaches!

Amanda and Brinlee again. They got some cute game day shirts!

 Some of the 'fans'

It was a fun game! Hopefully she'll get to do it as a senior, too!
