Updates

As I am waiting for my Ruth's Diner Mac & Cheese to cook (cross your fingers that it works out since that's what's for dinner tonight!), I thought I'd get started on a marathon blog update!
Spring Break for the kids this week....the whole week...We did pretty well with only a few fights each day :) Monday and Tuesday the kids just played all day since I had to teach some piano. Wednesday, we ventured down to the dentist at 8:30am...too early! Sydney ended up with 4 cavities! Amanda has one and Brandon came out the winner with zero. I guess that Mom & Dad should be brushing the girl's teeth still like we do with Brandon so we all can have zero next time! Then, we went down to the Living Planet Aquarium with our friends the Hollingsworths.

Hanalee, Amanda, Sydney, Ellie, Ruby Jane and Brandon

Everyone plus Jake
We haven't been to the Aquarium since it moved to Sandy. It's pretty pricey for how short it takes you to view everything, but still very interesting and fun. I know they have big plans to expand it, but don't have the funds.

The have a biology bar where you can touch some of the ocean critters. Jake was the only one brave enough to have the cleaning shrimp clean his fingers. Amanda and Hanalee spent about 20 minutes getting up the nerve before giving up. No one touched the sting ray they have in an open pool. This is as close as Brandon got to touching....just putting his hands in the pool so he could wash them at the cool kid sink...

After we got our souvenirs (that the girls bought themselves-i love Dave Ramsey!), we headed to the South Towne mall to get lunch at the food court. That way everyone was happy! After Brandon had a melt-down about not getting to ride the carousel, we all were fed and happy.

We said good-bye to our friends and did some errands in Salt Lake which included, getting yummy cookies at Hagermann's Bakery and getting Amanda new ballet shoes. It was a fun day!

Way to go Brandon! No Cavities!!
The funny thing about the aquarium is a membership costs less then 2 day passes. Very strange.
