On our way to Gibson's for birthday celebrations, we stopped at Salt Lake City Cemetery to place flowers on the graves of Mike's great-grandparent's.
On the way home from Salt Lake, we visited my paternal grandparent's grave. Amanda has my grandma's middle name. It was beautiful and peaceful and fun to tell our kids what I remember about these grandparents. I left another flower with my Mom to place on her parent's grave from us. They are buried in Sandy and we weren't going to make it down again before the weekend was over. I love that we do this with our children now. It may help them to understand their place in our families.
