Fun Christmas Weekend!

Saturday, we had the long awaited (by Brandon...he counted down) hip hop recital!  We decided to have the grandparents come up for lunch beforehand.  Mike was driving back from Grand Junction.  Oh, I forgot about our Ward Christmas Party Breakfast.....we hit that after Amanda's ballet. Nicole ended up taking Brandon and Sydney over for me so I could drive the ballet carpool.  It was nice and I didn't have to fix breakfast!
Anyway, Mike got home just before the grandparents came over. We had a nice lunch and then the kids showed the grandparents the new Kid History. I'm sure they loved it!
We headed over to the studio for the recital and it was PACKED!  We were even 20 minutes early!
We found one chair for my Dad and then we all just crowded around.  The kids did so awesome! Amanda's group is big and she, fortunately, was on the side closest to us!  She did a great job!
Then came the boys! It was a cute dance and at the end they all did the worm. Brandon couldn't believe that everyone was cheering when they did the worm!  So cute!
That night, Mike & I went to dinner with Scott & Kellie and Doug & Cath. We decided to go to dinner instead of exchange gifts.  A great new tradition! It was fun and delicious....we went to Takashi! We missed Jim & Kateryne, Matt & Alisa, and Steve & Hillary though.
Sunday, Mike was at church for tithing settlement until almost 6pm.  He had spent 9 hours at church!  He came home a few minutes after our home teachers arrived.  Then, we roped him right into doing the gingerbread house.
Can you tell my family likes the frosting? Seriously....good thing we don't eat the house. We burn it on New Years Eve!

Pretty soon, frosting was on the kid's faces...nice.

 Ho ho ho....Santa Brandon!
 The gingerbread man....hummmmmm

See the tree?  It's not standing...
This gingerbread tree was in memory of all the trees we lost in Kaysville in the recent wind storm! It
The kids had the camera....interesting perspective, huh!
Here is our Dicken's Village and our Nativity.

And, one last picture of Max.  Also taken by one of the kids....nice shot!
