The Game! A 'W' for Utah!

We got up early on Saturday morning and drove to the stadium!  The area is really gorgeous.  The stadium is right on the Ohio River and fans will take a boat taxi to the game.  Pretty cool!

Our seats were extremely nosebleed, but it was amazing how well we could see the field!

So much fun to be there will the cousins!  The wind was really cold and we only had jackets.  Just before halftime, I bought the kids some knit hats.  The girls got really cute Pittsburgh Steelers hats. (The U of Pitt and the Steelers share this stadium) and Brandon had to get a Panther hat, but the panther is really, really small :)

After halftime, we all moved a section over and were able to spread out. Brandon and Greg played all over the chairs and ran up and down the stairs. So fun to spend time with the cousins!
Pretty view, isn't it?  We watched boats and barges go up the river during the game.

 Cute Amanda all bundled up!

Cute Grandma, Greg and Matt.

Steven eating nachos, yum! And Brock, also eating nachos....

 Gangsta Syd

 Amanda and Maddie

Oh no...what are these two up to?  When Mike & Steve are together, it's always trouble...or a party depending on which way you look at it!

 I love Sydney!

After the game, we happened on this restaurant called Primanti Bros.  They invented a sandwich for truckers to get on the road fast and eat in their trucks.  They put the fries and coleslaw right on the sandwich.  Sounds strange, but it was so good! And I really don't like coleslaw, but it was delish.  The place was a kick.  Kind of small, people packed in everywhere and they cook right in front of you. Makes you feel like you just went to your friend's house and they said, 'Sit down, I'll make you a sandwich!'  So fun!  We also ran into Frank Dolce and the other Utah announcers there.  Frank has been in Mike's office before, so Mike reintroduced himself and Frank was really friendly, shaking our hands, talking to us about the place.  Everyone was soooo happy about the win!!!

After dinner, we got in the cars to head to West Grove where Steve & Hillary live. We planned on going to church with them the next day.  The kids and I got in our car while Mike went to his parent's car to check directions.  Their car was parked 2 or 3 cars ahead of ours.  While we waited, a car pulled into the parking space in front of us and 2 street preachers got out. They started praying, loudly right there as they pulled out their signs and microphones.  The kids were a little freaked, but told them to just watch them.

Then, one of them knelt down in front of our car and started praying with his arms in the air!  He was so close to the front of our car, that we wouldn't be able to move the car without hitting him.  Mike returned during the praying and got in the car.  He asked me if we should even start the car because we would interrupt the prayer!

Finally, the guy stood up and both men packed up their materials and left to preach in the square by the restaurant!  Quite the experience!

The next day was Sunday and we arrived at Steve & Hill's church just a little late for Sacrament.  They have a super nice ward, and it turns out their Bishop is the brother of one of our ward members! Small world if you are Mormon.  We went to the rest of the block.  Amanda had a great time! She said the Young Women were sooo nice.  I was glad she had a great experience because she was solo.  Everyone else had a cousin to go to class with.

After church, we visited at Steve & Hillary's house.  I'll post pictures in the next post!
