I really don't think that I took a breath in August. Amanda started her comp dance which was 2 weeks straight of all day dance. Including weekends. Then, add Sydney starting ballet and Brandon's soccer. Amanda's soccer team playing a tourney. Dance meetings. Piano. Plus, trying to schedule fall piano lessons around our kid's lessons, Primary stuff, regular everyday stuff....
So, I was so excited to get away with the Arveseth's to Jackson, Wyoming for Labor Day!
We couldn't leave until about 8pm on Thursday night because Brandon had a football game (he scored a touchdown!) and Sydney had ballet (I was driving carpool). It was long, late drive and we pulled into Jackson about 12:30am. We listened to the Utah game and then the byu game the whole way. The kids thought it was funny that their Dad wanted to listen to the y game but we told them we want to hear them lose. Too bad they didn't....Everyone was starting slow the next morning, but it was ok because we were on a relaxing vacation! After meeting up at Jim & Renae's condo, we decided to go have lunch and ride the tram. Mike had to make a quick stop at a Wells Fargo bank to get something notarized for work. So, we ate fast when we got back to the tram area and then met everyone for the ride up!
It was totally awesome!
I already felt the peaceful and comfortable feeling you get when you are in the mountains by the time we started our ascent.
(Passing the other tram)
Emily is not a fan of heights. She hated the ride, but loved the top of the mountain!
