The next night, the kids and I thought we'd surprise Mike with some friends just 'stopping by for cake and ice cream' He surprised us by coming home an hour early! Brandon was told to stall him outside and so he said, 'Dad, what are you doing here? We're not ready for the party!'Mike & Bryan
That's A LOT of smoke!!!Then, we spent the next hour avoiding his questions on who was coming. We said the neighbors and friends we usually hang with: Francis', Harwoods, Morgans, Orisons, Jensens
Then, he asked about Bryan.
We said no, but really Bryan was coming! Bryan and Mike grew up together. Now Bry and his wife, Tiff, and their family live only about 10 minutes away from us. It was sooo great to have them there. Bry even brought Mike a framed photo of their boss that they worked for at Oly Jr.
Then, Kerry & Makell showed up. Then Reed....
Then, more childhood friends, Jodi & Heather. I was so glad they could come. I told them about it the morning of and they just happened to be coming to Kville for another friend's bday party and made sure to come to Mikey's.
(Thanks to Makell for getting some pictures of the party for me!) Here is Sydney modeling how to use the gifts that Kerry & Makell brought Mike. Good times!
Welcome to the 40 club, babe! I love you!!

Happy Birthday Mike (late!) Looks like you had a great celebration. When you're ready to put that walker to use let me know, I have great tips for sitting and standing! ;)
It meant so much to us to get to be a part of this not-so-big event!!! Bry and Mike will always be brothers at heart (not that they are lacking for brothers, but you know what I mean!) We love you guys!!
Welcome to AARP! That's funny :) You totally pulled off a great party - that was so much fun. I hope he doesn't turn you on too much with that walker and those hot velcro shoes.....wouldn't want you to miss out on any sleep :+)
