Football 2015

Football season! I can't remember if I've told the story of tryouts this year or not.  I'll briefly sum up. Brandon has been on Jeff Dodenbier's team for the past two years. Mike helped Jeff with tryouts, etc. Jeff 'froze' (each coach can automatically take 6 players without having to go through the draft) his 6 players. Usually they are coaches kids and top players you want.  But, you have to freeze coach kids first.  Jeff froze B the first year, but not this year. He wanted to get all his team back, so he threw the dice.  Well, Chad Bessinger wanted Brandon!  He had the first pick and grabbed Brandon!  Jeff was 'devastated' and Chad was super happy.  Mike & I were super confused.  Turns out, being on Chad's team was AWESOME!  Loved those coaches and their philosophy. The boys were so nice and Brandon had a great time at practices...which didn't always happen on Jeff's team.  There were a few coaches, including Jeff, who ended up getting suspended before the season was done. Parents were fighting.  We had such a great, non-drama year being with Bessinger's team! And we went to the Mini-Bowl again! (We didn't win, but it's still a big deal getting there).  Anyway, we are SO HOPING Brandon either stays on Chad's team this next season or goes to Skip's team. We really do not want him on Jeff's.  There's the drama!
This is his first game.  Amanda had the camera and she does a great job!  A mom on the team did a football book which we bought, so I won't post much here.  It is so much fun to see Brandon progress and he really loves football.  A few boys were as big as him this year, but he liked the challenge.  We also found out he has asthma. At least exercise induced.  So, we had an inhaler by the mini-bowl, but he did struggle through the season a little. We also found out he's allergic to penicillin.  Lots of new things for B this year! And old...4th set of tubes in his ears in September...Enjoy some pics...
