Park City with the Arvys

Steve & Hillary were in town, so Jim & Renae planned a get away for the family!  We went to Park City and stayed in the 3 Kings Condos.  The girls and I went up early on Thursday and Mike & B stayed behind for Football practice (more on football later).  They also picked up Steve from the airport after football and brought him up to meet us.  Hillary and the kids had been there for a week before.  I love this picture of our bike helmets. It has been a biking summer. Mike's getting back into it big time. Riding his bike to work, etc.  He got Amanda a new bike.  We took a family bike ride on the paths in Park City and determined that Brandon needed a new bike with gears.  Then, because it makes him happy, Mike wanted his birthday present to be new bikes for all the kids and ended up buying Sydney a new bike, too!  We are set!
The next morning we met for breakfast and of course Mike & Steven started a water fight. They like to pour water on each other in places that make it look like they have wet their pants.

Yep, they succeeded!  Now, Mike decided to bug everyone he would shave his whiskers into a mustache.  YUCK!
 He's pretty proud of it!
Jim & Renae bought us all day ride passes for everything at Park City resort! Our first choice was to ride the Alpine Coaster and then we did the zip line!

 It was awesome!!

Brandon and Sydney did the trampolines.
Mike took his bike up the ski lift and rode down. He came down an alternate way and ended up in the parking lot instead of back at the chair lift, but he had a great time and saw more cool stuff than if he had 'stayed on the trail'
Then, he needed to take Brandon to football practice or he would have gone more.
So, I took Brandon on the Alpine Coaster one more time and then we got stuck! Apparently, there was an Asian woman that was going so slow, they had to stop and push her.  Closed down the entire ride for 20 minutes!!!  This is a fast ride people!  I kept texting telling Mike we were stuck and he was saying he and Brandon needed to leave, but there was nothing I could do. Finally, one of the workers had to use a 4-wheeler to get to the manual start which was at the base of the hill.....crazy.
 Pretty cool picture though huh!
Here's Brandon at his football scrimmage.....pretty cool!!  The whole family loved seeing our name on the back of his jersey!
This is at the base of the zip line.  Sydney, Amanda, Maddie, Zac and Jace!

And more Dog Days

Sydney wearing her I heart Buddy tshirt we brought her from Cake Boss NYC - that's the last time I have seen her wear it ;)
Our cute dog for the dog days post
Liz, Johnny and Amanda started a tradition for the Wilgenseth's family.  We now celebrate everyone's birthday together.  They made this cake for Kevin, Johnny's dad and we all showed up at their house one night to sing and wish him happy birthday!  Since then, performing has been included.  The kids performed songs from movies for Mike's birthday.  The Mom's did a dance from The Three Amigos - my little buttercup - for Johnny's birthday.  Sydney and Ali are next.  The Dad's are scheduled to dance!! It's been really fun!
Can't remember if I posted our hike up Adam's canyon.  It was HOT! Too hot and we didn't go the whole way.....but it was still a good time despite Amanda's face!

More dog days

Here is the only picture of Girl's camp. Sydney about to do some repelling!
And then, our annual trip with Kellie, Zac, Maddie and Emily to Cowabunga Bay!!
It was after year round school started and looked like it was going to rain all day, so the park was almost empty and it was AWESOME! We had a great time!

It was also Emily's 9th birthday! Yippee!

Sydney and the 6th grade dance

My awesome photographer friend took pictures at Sydney's 6th grade dance in May.  She just sent a bunch to me.  So fun to have pictures of all her friends....

Halli, Addie, Zac photobombing, Nicole, Paige, Sam, Riley and Sydney. There are a couple of mean girls in this group, but I won't point them out!
Owen, I don't know the next kid, Josh Harwood (neighbor), Cole Arbon, Luke Jones and Syd-she looks photoshopped in this one :)
Halli, Maddie, Addie, Paige, Luke Bowers, Konner behind Luke, Sydney, Nate, Brandon in the back, Zac and Josh, Payton and Cole.

Dog Days of Summer

We tried hard to do more hiking this summer than last. I think the girls were at dance when I took Brandon down to Alta Ski Resort and hiked Albion Basin. Great hike and beautiful!!

Feeling nature :)  Brandon is a stud!

Sydney  has an obsession with taking hair off Mike's legs!  She has tried duct tape before.  This time she used his shaver!  He was silky smooth.....but I think he secretly loves the attention from his kids!

Here are a bunch of pictures that Amanda took while we were in NYC.  The top is Ripleys' stockade.  By the way, the bathroom at Ripleys has fart sounds going while you are doing your business and then gives you some interesting facts about potty time!  Had me laughing out loud!
On the subway...Miley Terry, Erin Berry, Chaylor Gunther and Evi Harvigetson (can't spell her last name)
 The Stardust Diner.....
 New world trade center building.....
Times Square...Chaylor, Amanda, Maya Roundy, Kaitlyn McBride and Chay's mom, Lisa in the background
 Upper West Side buildings
Our cook passes at Madison Square Garden!...
Even though our plane landed at 1AM and we didn't get home into bed until 2 or 2:30am, we were up the next morning at the crack of dawn to go to Brigham City and Brock's homecoming!
And to stay awake, Sydney was taking pictures!

NYC - Insta

Here's one way to make sure I blogged everything about NYC.  My instagram posts!
It was a really really fun trip. I'm so glad Amanda talked me into going and choosing this trip instead of a car for her 16th birthday!  It was fun to travel with her in her favorite city!  I was a proud mom watching her perform at the Statue of Liberty and during the dance class the Moms were allowed to attend.  And I'm grateful to Mike, Sydney and Brandon that made it possible for Amanda and I go to! It was a family group effort for sure!  Love you guys!
